Dar elissar is an old lebanese house located in the old city of tyre in south of lebanon. The house was extended in 1993 allowing for an additional area of 1200 m2. Dar elissar was rented out to the united nation as a storage space until 2017. In 2018 the owner decided to transform this house into a architectural heritage boutique hotel and revive the spaces of his grandmothers house. Behind The main facade of the house is a hidden alleyway where the hotels holds the reception area. The hotel consists of 2 floors and accommodates 24 bedrooms. Each bedroom consists of a small kitchenette and living space. The groundfloor area includes meeting rooms and a breakfast lounge. The first floor also provides a small reading / historical room where visitors can gain a better understanding of the old city of Tyre. A secluded pool on the rooftop pl and a bar and restaurant area offering views of the beautiful port of tyre,.
